Medicine Drop
“Project
Medicine Drop” is to encourage the public to discard outdated or
unused prescription medications at collection boxes located at
municipal police departments. The drop boxes accept solid
pharmaceuticals such as pills, capsules, patches, inhalers, and pet
medications. They cannot accept syringes or liquids.
Flushing unused medicines or throwing them down a sink is
not recommended because it contaminates waterways.

Silver Alert System 
The state Attorney General established a "Silver Alert System" which provides a statewide system for the rapid dissemination of information regarding a missing person who is believed to be suffering from dementia or other cognitive impairment.
According to Silver Alert criteria, the person believed to be missing is believed to be suffering from dementia or other cognitive impairment regardless of age; a missing person's report has been submitted to the local law enforcement agency where the person went missing; the person believed to be missing may be in danger of death or serious injury and there is sufficient information that a Silver Alert would assist in locating the missing person.

account, have a valid
driver’s license issued by any state, and have a vehicle registered

name in any state. You do not have to live in New Jersey

Transportation to Grocery Shopping
The Toms River Senior Center will take you grocery shopping.
Residents of Lavallette, Ortley, Seaside Heights & Seaside Park who are 60 or older and do not have transportation can get door to door transportation for grocery shopping.
