Whether you live in the area, or you are just visiting the Jersey Shore, we welcome your visit to our church home at anytime. Our Parish services the communities of Lavallette, Seaside Heights, Seaside Park, South Seaside Park (Berkeley Township), Mantoloking, Bay Head and all of the Dover Township beach communities. The focus of our Ministry is toward doing God's work both here and wherever else we may be called to go!

At Faith Lutheran Church, we pride ourselves in providing our parishioners with an opportunity to meet an enthusiastic, forward thinking congregation of all ages and from all walks of life. Our overall programming includes many very worthwhile and spiritual projects which are the mainstay of our desire to spread the GOOD NEWS of FAITH, to all who believe, that "JESUS CHRIST LIVES!"

OUR LIVES TOGETHER

WORSHIP MINISTRY

The center of our life together as members of Faith Lutheran Church is our worship experiences. It is at worship that we define who we are as a community of believers. In worship we respond to God's activity in our lives by being fed with the Word (Scripture readings and preaching) and receiving the sacrament of Holy communion regularly. It is in worship that we are reminded that God meets us where we are in our lives, regardless of how we are feeling, because of God's love for us expressed through Jesus Christ. To belong to the community of believers at Faith means to gather as much as we can for worship to express our faith in the salvation God offers through Jesus Christ. Our church choir is an important part of our Morning Worship which offers praise to our Lord through song. The choir performs music in styles spanning from traditional hymns, to contemporary.

SERVICE MINISTRY

Those who serve in this ministry of the Church care for those who are in need of special attention in the congregation due to inability to be actively present in the life of the congregation through illness or because they are home-bound.

Food Pantry: We collect non-perishable food items, and monetary support for those in our church community who are in need. We work with area merchants to assure that we stamp out hunger here! In addition, once a year we have a special offering that is taken to support ELCA Ministries around the world that are designed to do the same thing, but on a world-wide scale!

Women Of Faith This group of women in the parish pour their heart and very being into the work they do together to carry our ministries of service, fellowship and love.  All of the work they do comes back to the parish in direct ways. All women regardless of church affiliation are invited to attend and participate in this powerful ministry of these dedicated women.

LEARNING MINISTRY

Our Learning Ministry takes on many church programs and activities that are interwoven along with the other Ministries of the church to yield a tapestry of Faith, and a firm foundation for the future. Because we never stop learning, this ministry takes into consideration the experience of the past, and melds it together with the hopes and aspirations that we have for tomorrow. We firmly believe that young people are our greatest resource. Besides lessons in Christianity and spirituality, we pride ourselves in the lessons of life that we are able to pass down to our young people.

Bible Study - We offer an intriguing and innovative study of the Holy Bible that will leave you thirsting for more! Bible Studies are scheduled to meet every Tuesday.

We offer First Communion Instruction to all of those who express an interest and desire beginning at the tender age of 7.

Faith Affirmation - Confirmation: Affirmation of faith begins as early as one's involvement in the life of the Church. The congregation supports ones faith journey through encouragement to participate in the life of the Church. An open invitation to join Faith Lutheran Church is extended to all people regardless of age.

New Members: Those persons who wish to unite with the expression of the Christian community found at Faith Lutheran participate in a structured, yet informal, course of faith sharing and basic Lutheran understanding of God's Word.
