Chief Financial Officer/Tax Collector-The Borough
of Lavallette is seeking an experienced individual with excellent
managerial skills and hold both State Certifications of Chief
Financial Officer and Tax Collector with at least a minimum of three
years experience for each. Preferable knowledge of Edmunds
Software is a plus. The Borough of Lavallette has our own
Electric Utility and our own Water/Sewer Utility. CFO duties
includes general ledger maintenance, budget preparation, payroll,
pension, bank reconciliations and accounts payable and receivables
as well as any other duties assigned. Tax Collector duties
include dealing with added assessments, and yearly tax billings, and
a annual tax sale. The Borough of Lavallette had a budget of
$7,537,802. The 2012 Tax Levy was $16,924,313 and there were

Officials for their Construction Department.

Lifeguards
The Borough of Lavallette
is accepting applications for
Lifeguards for the 2013 season.
Bring: CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, Application, Copy of Birth Certificate, Copy of Driver’s License.
The Requirements for those wishing to be employed are:
- Copy of Birth certificate or Driver’s license (16 years of age or older)
- Copy of Valid CPR certificate (BLS-C) or willingness to complete by starting date.
- Copy of Valid First Aid certificate - Community First Aid or willingness to complete by starting date.
- Medical Release completed by a physician indicating your physical ability to perform the duties of an ocean lifeguard.
- Completed Application.
- Employment Agreement.
- Pass a Background check.
- Lifeguard Information Form.
- Working Papers for those under age 18 as of June 18, 2011. Work CAN NOT BEGIN until working papers are submitted.
The Beach will open for the season on
June 22, 2013. Each guard will work 5 days per week (40 hrs).
Work starts each day at
8:45am and ends at
5:15pm on weekdays; till
6:00 on weekends.
